Ocean Match sends the shared match-3 rules into a clear, cool reef. Fish and starfish provide warm landmarks, shells and seahorses use different outlines, the octopus is violet, and the pearl stays bright. These cues keep pieces readable against the blue water even when a display is small.

Thirty expeditions move from calm scoring to multi-species collection and layered reef nets. Every objective is visible above the board, and every level waits for your input. It is designed as an unhurried browser puzzle rather than a reflex challenge.

How to Play

Swap neighboring sea pieces to build lines of three or more.

Collect the species requested by the expedition card.

Clear reef nets with matches and special effects before the final move.

Controls

Tap or click a piece, then an adjacent piece. Tap the selected piece again to cancel. Touch scrolling remains available.

Waves, Bubbles, and Rainbow Pearls

Match four to form a horizontal or vertical Tidal Wave. Five creates a Rainbow Pearl that clears the neighboring species, while a T or L makes a Bubble Burst. Waves crossing other specials can reach nets on opposite sides of the reef.

A net remains attached to its board cell while sea life moves through it. Matches and special effects peel away one layer per cascade wave. Later expeditions reward placing a Bubble Burst where several nets meet instead of activating it at the first opportunity.

Read the Current

Matches near the seabed move more pieces and create more chances for cascades. That is useful only when the current still serves the expedition goals. Keep an eye on a species that is falling behind, and preserve a Rainbow Pearl until its adjacent piece targets that shortage.

Strategy Tips

Warm-colored fish and starfish are easy landmarks on the blue board.

Use a Tidal Wave to sweep a hard-to-reach net.

Save a Rainbow Pearl for the species furthest from its target.

About This Game

FAQ

Are blue pieces visible against the ocean board?

Yes. Every piece uses a distinct symbol, border, and contrasting light-to-dark fill rather than color alone.

Is Ocean Match different from Gem Match?

It has its own visual language, vocabulary, SEO page, analytics slug, and saved progression while sharing the tested rules engine.
